The Macedonian National Theater will have its 150th performance of A Suspicious Person, the legendary spy comedy by Branislav Nusic. Directed by Sinisa Evtimov and premiered in 2007, it was seen by more than 55,000 viewers over the past decade.
The 1887 play has deep ties to the Macedonian capital, considering that Nusic spent a portion of his life in Skopje, where he worked and helped establish the main theater.
"Directing this play changed my life. The offer came at a time when I was considering leaving the theater. I had no idea that 10 years later I will be here, before you, celebrating a decade of tis performance", Evtimov said at a press conference.

Theater director Dejan Projkovski said that it is a rare event that a play is performed for so long and receives such cult following.
"There are music start who can be envious of the number of people who came to see A Suspicious Person", Projkovski added.
The cast includes Aleksandar Mikic, Sasko Kocev, Nino Levi, Gorast Cvetkovski and many other starts of the Macedonian National Theater. Another of Nusic's classics The Minister's Wife, recently also had its 150th performance.
