Western Balkan countries move forward and meet conditions on the road to European integration, said Denis Zvizdic, Chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of Ministers, in the opening remarks of the Western Balkans summit, held in Sarajevo on Thursday.
Zvizdic stressed the Berlin Process for the Western Balkans is of enormous significance for the region, since it accelerates the area's approximation to the Union, in terms of regulations, access to funds, economic development, stability, peace and security.
He added that BiH would resume its constructive regional policy, which is confirmed by the Sarajevo meeting and the joint commitment to regional cooperation.
The meeting, including the prime ministers of BiH, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania, focuses on transport and energy infrastructure projects, as well as cooperation in the fields of youth and education.
European Commissioner Johannes Hahn and Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano, in the capacity of host of the July meeting within the Berlin Process in Trieste, also take part at the event.
