SPO Publishes Poor Report for Spending Budget Funds

The Special Public Prosecutor's Office published on its website the third six-month report for the period from the 15 September 2016 to 15 March 2017.

The report which consists of 39 pages contains information about the financial performance of the Special Public Prosecutor's Office, the number of investigations and pre-investigation procedures has been opened by the Special Public Prosecutor's Office in this period, the engaged associates, the number of the wiretapped conversations that are analyzed and the resulting suspicion of the crimes as well as the information on any case of this prosecution.

From the data contained in the report relating to the business, which are written on one page, it can be seen that the SPO between September last year and March this year spent MKD 79,243,307, or EUR 1,290,607.

The SPO for 2016 until 31/12/2016  spent MKD 123,548,695, or 48.70 percent of the budget.

Of the approved budget for 2017 totaling MKD 228,005,000, as of 01.01.2017 until 15.03.2017, the SPO spent MKD 28,636,159 or 12.56 percent of the approved budget for this year.

Most of the allocated budget funds for the period from 15 September 2016 to 15 March 2017, the report said, were spent on rent. For what and how much the rest of the funds were spent is not indicated, as it was in the last report.
